Creating a folder

Folders can only be created on paths that you have write access to.


To create a folder:
  1. Go to Dock > File Manager.
    The File Manager screen appears.

  2. Click the folder that you want to create a new folder in.
    You must have write access to this folder. 
    If you do not have write access, the CREATE FOLDER button will be greyed-out.

  3. Click CREATE FOLDER.
    The Create New Folder window appears.

  4. Enter a suitable name for the new folder.
    You can use:

    • Upper case letters

    • Lower case letters

    • These special characters:
      ! - _ . * ' ( )

  5. Click Create Folder.
    The new folder is created and appears on the screen for the original folder.




Deleting a folder

Folders can only be deleted on paths that you have write access to.

Deleted folders cannot be recovered afterwards.

Any files inside the folder will also be deleted.


To delete a folder:
  1. Go to Dock > File Manager.
    The File Manager screen appears.

  2. Click the folder that you want to delete a folder from.
    You must have write access to this folder. 
    If you do not have write access, the CREATE FOLDER button will be greyed-out.

  3. Find the folder that you want to delete and open its action menu.

  4. Click Delete.
    A confirmation message appears.
    Deleted folders cannot be recovered afterwards. Any files inside the folder will also be deleted.

  5. If you definitely want to delete the folder, confirm by clicking Delete Folder.
    The folder is deleted and the screen for the original folder returns.
